on in paradise include the SOL Rally Barbados, the
chocolate pastry and wine festival, BIMEX, horse racing at

Crop Over Bajarama
Dates: June 1st 2019
The Crop Over Bajarama is a
community based cultural event hosted by the National
Cultural Foundation at Friendship Playing Field in St.
Michael. This Crop Over Festival event gives local
performing artiste the opportunity to showcases their
talents leading into the island's biggest festival. This
event is an official National Cultural Foundation event
and a prelude to the official Barbados Crop Over Festival
Season.

SOL Rally Barbados
Date: June 1st, 2019
Day 2 of the SOL Rally Barbados Tarmac Special Stage
starting at the Greenland Agricultural Station in St
Andrew..
The Sol Rally Barbados is an International All-Stage Rally
that attracts as many as 90 crews, with one-third of them
coming from the wider Caribbean and other international
countries. The SOL Rally is a recognize regional sporting
event that is extremely popular , especially with visitors
from Europe.

The Opening Gala and
Ceremonial Delivery of the Last Canes
Date: June 8th, 2019
The Ceremonial Delivery of the Last Canes is a fun family
event it takes place on Saturday June 8 at 2pm, in
Speightstown, St Peter. This cultural event crown the King
and Queen of the Sugar Cane Crop Industry. The ceremony also
pays tribute to Crop Over Stalwarts, the various ethnic
groupings existing in Barbados and the unique features of
Barbadian heritage and culture.

Historic Garrison Night Tour
and Tunnel Experience
Date: June 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th 2019
This guided walking tour of the
Historic Garrison area is a wonderful opportunity for you to
learn more about the Garrison and some of the events that
occurred there. The island has a colorful colonial past that
was not always idyllic, on this tour you'll learn of tales
with tragic endings and of mysteries yet to be solved..

UNESCO World Heritage Site
Tour and Changing of The Sentry
Date: June 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th 2019
This guided Bus Tour of the
Garrison Historic area takes place every Thursday. The tour
includes a visit to
the famous George Washington House (c1720) ,Charles Fort,
built to protect Carlisle Bay , The National Armory Museum;
(World’s finest collection of 17th century cannons), St.
Ann’s Fort for a drink. you'll also get to see the ‘Changing
of the Sentry’ exercise and experience the re-discovered
‘Garrison Tunnels’ (c1820).

The annual BMEX showcase takes
place in from Friday June 7th until Monday June 10th this is
a wonderful opportunity to see some of the wonderful
products created by local manufacturers.

Barbados National Trust Hike
Date: June 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th 2019
The Barbados National Trust Hike
Barbados program lets you enjoy the island off the beaten
track. Its a great Sunday morning out door activity as you
traverse through cane fields, gullies, tropical forests and
coastal communities. You also get to explore the unique
historical and geological structure of our beautiful island.
There are five hikes during the month of June, on the 2nd
the hike starts at the Clock Tower at the Garrison in St.
Michael, on the 9th the starting place is Haggatts Old Sugar
Factory Yard, St. Andrew, on June 16th the hike is a
moonlight hike starting at 5:30 pm from Bayley's school in
St. Phillip. On the 23rd June the hike starts at the
historic Codrington College in St. John and on the 30th the
starting point is Rock Hall Plantation in St. Peter.
