Where Are The Best Spots For Snorkel In Barbados?

We are in the process of planning a much need family get-a-way to your beautiful island.

It would be great if we can combine the best of everything from exciting land tours and water sports to fabulous accommodation.

I wonder if you could tell me the best places for off shore snorkeling, by this I mean just walking a little way into the sea, in fairly shallow waters. Are there any hotels available near these beaches in Barbados?

There are some excellent snorkeling opportunities in Barbados, go into the sea where it is calm and you'll certainly see schools of fish like snappers, star fish and even octopus.

The very popular West coast has two designated snorkeling areas as part of the Folkstone Marine Park. Another area on the West coast where you will find snorkeling in shallow waters is the area just south of the Beach House restaurant in Holetown.

The hotels closes to this area are Mango Bay Resort, Coral Reef, Colony Club, Discovery Bay and Sandpiper.
Most of these hotels are approximately 5 mins away from this designated snorkeling area.
