The New Edgewater is a small hotel located on the picturesque east coast of Barbados. Previously call Edgewater Inn the hotel is now under new management.
This romantic little hideaway has been renovated to enhance your stay and make it a pleasant one. As for its location, the hotel is perfectly situated away from all of the hustle on the island’s more popular tourist spots.
And it's not just sea and sand you will see the diverse nature of the island. On the western side is Joe’s river and the 85 acre Joe’s River Tropical rain forest.
On the eastern side is the remnants of the old railway line which provided a vital link from Bridgetown to Belleplaine between 1881 and 1937.
And on the northern side of the hotel is the famous 9-mile coral sand beach... And to the southern side is the world number 3 surfing spot at Bathsheba beach, The Soup Bowl.
Guest Rooms at the Edgewater Hotel
The Edgewater is a small hotel with two-dozen rooms and suites. The hotel has been lovingly decorated with hand carved mahogany furniture, which reflects on the hotels long history.
The rooms and suites are AAA
approved. On the ground floor rooms 101 – 106 have partial
ocean views while rooms 107 and 108 have a view of the Joe’s
river rain forest. On the second floor rooms 209, 210, 217, 218, 219,
220 and 221 has partial ocean views.
On the second floor rooms 209, 210, 217, 218, 219, 220, and 221 have partial ocean views while also on the second floor 211- 216, 222, 224, 225 and 226 have full ocean views. All rooms are air-conditioned and contain television, fridge, hair dryers and radios.
Hotel Activities and Entertainment
The hotel is located on the turbulent Atlantic side of the island, walking distance to the Soup Bowl Barbados main surfing spot.
