Jumas restaurant was established in 2012 and has quickly become a firm favourite with both visitors and locals. Its has a stunning location, overlooking a beautiful unspoiled beach in Speightstown on Barbados west coast, the restaurants the menu feature a delightful mix of Thai, classic French and Bajan dishes.

This beautifully furnished restaurant provide complimentary transport to patrons from anywhere on the West Coast, they also offer complimentary beach loungers and umbrellas.

Jumas restaurant is located at #2 West End, Queens Street Speightstown overlooking a beautiful beach. This restaurant specialise in Barbadian, French,  and Thai cuisine served from its delightful open-air, setting overlooking the beach. 


The relaxed beachfront setting is further enhanced by the casual dress code that is in effect. This delightful  restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is from 9:00 to 11:00 Lunch starts at 11:00 am and finishes at 2:30 while dinner is from 5:00 to 10:30 pm Monday to Sunday.

Starters

  • Curried pumpkin, sweet potato and coconut soup   
  • Goats Cheese And Beetroot Salad
  • Pan seared scallops -on a citrus salad drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette topped with tomato salsa
  • Mango and ginger infused spare ribs on a pickled cucumber and red onion salad
  • Thai papaya and chili salad - diced ripe papaya marinated in red chilies and green leaves with a lime, honey and palm sugar dressing
  • Pan fried jumbo shrimp in garlic butter resting on a mixed leaf salad with honey mustard dressing
  • Crab spring rolls marinated in a soy and ginger reduction
  • Rum infused chicken liver pate – served with toast, organic sorrel jam and mixed leaf salad 
  • Flying Fish Pate - served with toast and mixed leaf salad
  • Shrimp Cocktail - with Marie Rose sauce
  • Bajan Saltfish Cakes with sweet chilli sauce and mixed leaf salad

Main Dishes

  • Lobster tail - marinated in teriyaki, ginger and garlic and oven baked, with coconut jasmine rice or hand cut chips and topped with Asian stir fry vegetables or mixed salad 
  • Pan fried jumbo shrimps in garlic butter- served with jasmine rice or hand cut chips and vegetables or mixed salad
  • Catch of the day - grilled, blackened or pan fried, lightly spiced brushed with a lemon butter served with sweet potato mash, hand cut chips or rice and steamed local vegetables or a mixed leaf salad 
  • Jerk pork tenderloin with rice and peas and grilled vegetables
  • Pan seared chicken breast -  wrapped in bacon stuffed with chive and cheese served with sauté potatoes with caramelized onions 
  • Creekstone Beef Tenderloin -pan fried and served with a peppercorn sauce or garlic butter, gratin dauphinois or hand cut chips, and salad or vegetables
  • Bajan spiced rack of lamb - with macaroni pie and grilled vegetables 
  • Pan Roasted duck breast - marinated in ginger and honey served with  gratin dauphinois and vegetables
  • Seafood Thermidor - marlin, scallops and shrimp baked in a Thermidor sauce and served with rice or hand cut chips and salad or vegetables 
  • Thai red or green curry with jasmine rice -  served with vegetables, chicken, shrimp or duck
  • Tropical Fruit Curry - mixed fruits in spicy curry sauce served with rice
  • Home made Hamburger or Vegetarian Burger in a white or wholemeal bun, with your choice of cheese, bacon, onions, hand cut chips and salad


Deserts

  • Banana four ways - banana bread and butter pudding , warmed banana cake , alcoholic banana smoothie and caramelized bananas
  • Chocolate Pot - fused with Grand Marnier, served with vanilla ice-cream
  • Cheesecake of the day with ice cream
  • Banana Bread Pudding with vanilla ice cream
  • Banana Cake with vanilla ice cream
  • Sticky toffee pudding –warm pudding drizzled with a butterscotch sauce served with ice cream
