Honeymoon in Barbados

A Beautiful Tropical Sunset
We got married in Canada in a wonderful September wedding but we wanted our honeymoon in an idyllic island paradise...
We had seen Barbados in a travel brochure and from the moment we saw those beautiful photos we knew that a honeymoon in Barbados would be perfect.
After doing some more research on the Internet we realized that a lot of Canadians visit the island every year to escape the cold and some had even purchased homes there.
So with very impressive images of white sandy beaches and turquoise waters in our mind we packed our suitcases and headed to Barbados for our two-week honeymoon.
When we arrived in Barbados I was in awe... the images in the brochure were beautiful but I had no idea that the island was so lovely.
It was quiet and peaceful and the people were so friendly that we felt at home immediately... we stayed on the west coast of the island at a truly wonderful hotel... the suite was very nice and the staff took great care of us.
It was the perfect honeymoon! We spent most of our time on the beach where there are many sheltered coves enjoying the crystal clear water and soft white sand...
we went duty free shopping in Bridgetown, had dinner at the Cliff restaurant, visited the Oistin’s Friday night fish fry and had an exhilarating catamaran cruise along the picturesque coastline of the island.
Just look at the photo of the sunset it really was honeymooning in paradise...
I sure wish we could have stayed forever!
