Harbour Lights Barbados

No doubt about it... Harbour Lights Barbados is the place to be when you want to sample Barbados nightlife at its sizzling best...
We had heard about the swinging parties at the club from our friendly and knowledgeable taxi driver... but with all his in-depth knowledge about life on the island his account pale in comparison to our evening at the club.
First let me say the Harbour Lights has the perfect location on a spectacular white sand beach just outside of Bridgetown on the island’s south coast... this makes this Caribbean style nightspot a hit with both visitors and locals.
After considering what was on offer we decided that although the Wednesday and Friday drinks free club nights with Dj’s sounded really inviting that we would pass on these nights.
However we decided to check out the Monday night party because the word was that the Beach Extravaganza and Dinner Show was a must see.
So we headed over for the 9pm start... the theme for this fantastic show is Caribbean.
The show features the best nightlife on the island in an electrifying atmosphere with everyone having great fun as they dance barefoot in the sand to the tropical rhythms of a live calypso band.
But what made this evening out in Barbados so special was the fact that the show and the atmosphere capture the essence of island life.
It was a great evening we even got to meet many of the traditional Bajan folklore characters... Our favourite were the stilt walkers but the other characters were equally as good.
These include the very flexible limbo dancer who was amazing going under the bar, a fire-eater, the playful acrobatic green monkeys, the shaggy bears and some hip grinding calypso dancers...
And to top off our wonderful evening we enjoyed a sumptuous Bajan barbecue under the stars... and with unlimited free drinks, which include exotic Caribbean cocktails like the very popular Bajan rum punch it’s a blast.
The Harbour Lights Club is real fun... it definitely is a real Caribbean style evening and our number one pick for entertainment and nightlife in Barbados...
