Dover Beach Barbados

There are events during your lifetime that will forever change your life for the better... My first visit to Barbados was one of these events.

It was the winter of 1986 and outside was really cold... frustrated by this horrid weather, I called the travel agent and said I wanted to go to a holiday destination with hot weather and spectacular beaches.

The agent recommended Barbados as the perfect destination... I had never heard of Barbados but she assured me that it was indeed an idyllic paradise with crystal clear waters and perfect weather.

After taking a look at the wonderful brochures she sent me I took her advice and booked the trip...

I packed my bags and headed to Barbados her description was spot on I fell in love with the weather, the people, the food and of course the beaches.

Since this amazing first visit my family and I have return to the island on numerous occasions we consider Barbados as our home away from home... over the years I have stayed at a number of hotels on the island.

But I love the personalized service of the Dover Beach Barbados... this small family owned hotel tucked away in the quiet section of St. Lawrence Gap is ideal.

There are really nice folks at Dover Beach... This shouldn’t come as a surprise since over the years I have come to realize that Barbadians are some of the friendliest people anywhere in the world.

The Ocean View Studios are the perfect place to unwind and be just as laid back as the locals... these rooms, have a beautiful and uninterrupted view of the most spectacular turquoise waters and white sandy beaches you’ve ever seen.

I’ll have to admit the island is really enchanting once you visit Dover Beach Barbados you wouldn’t want to leave...

And I am sure you’ll always want to return it definitely is a home away from home.
