Many years ago we went to Baxter's Road for A late night drink. AT that time it was not A place to go for tourist but we went anyhow by Moke.

We hooked up with the cook on the Jolly Roger and my friend did some arm wrestling with several of the locals.

He did well and they accepted that and bought rounds of drinks for us both. Great people and very outgoing once they get to know you.

I value that experience and hope the street keeps a welcome mat for the foreign tourist.

Wish the European element would come back as they were always a good mix to our vacation there.

Will come again...

Barbadians are really a warm welcoming people please to hear you had wonderful experience.

Baxter's road still remains the street that never sleeps and still serve up some delicious Bajan fare... but the street has lost some of its appeal to the tourist coming to the island.

The Oistin's Friday night fish fry is the new lime featuring great food and a fantastic atmosphere showcasing cultural extravaganza by the some of the local performing artist.
