Bubba's Sports Bar and Restaurant is our family’s favourite, eatery we first discover this Barbados restaurant way back in 1996. Back then my wife and I were driving along the island’s action pack South Coast.
We were trying to decide where we were going to have our Saturday evening lime. We wanted to have a quiet dinner in a laid back relaxed atmosphere... You know the type of restaurant with out the fuss and frills. As we drove pass Bubba's my wife said lets try this one! We had both seen the advertisements for this spanking new addition to the Barbados restaurants listings. So we parked the car and went inside what we saw blew us away. The restaurant was fully air-conditioned with two levels a non-smoking section on the top level and the smoking section on the ground level and there was a 10 ft television screen along with a couple of other TV’s showing various international sports. That evening in a relaxed casual atmosphere we had deep fried shrimp, along with a couple of delectable fruit punches for my wife and a couple of Banks beers for myself. We fell in love with this restaurant, since that first dinner we have returned for dinner or drinks several times and we have taken the kids. Naturally they have fallen in love with this restaurant too. Champers Wine Bar and Restaurant is another one of my favorites , this is Caribbean dinning at its finest and this delectable restaurant was recommended to me some years ago as the ideal place for a business lunch. At that time the restaurant was located on Hastings’ beach I went to lunch and the ambience was fantastic and the service first class. Since that first visit the restaurant has been relocated to a much more romantic location with a panoramic ocean view of the gorgeous Accra beach. The Lighthouse Terrace located at the Hilton hotel is perhaps a reflection of what Caribbean dinning should be. We’ve had many wonderful meals here. This restaurant offers a pleasant relax atmosphere with two choices for patrons.
You can enjoy the air-condition comfort if you wish to dine inside or sit on the terrace overlooking Needham’s Point and enjoy the cooling sea breezes. Both choices offer and enjoyable view of the turquoise waters that surrounds the island. You can enjoy an all day dinning experience which includes a full breakfast, a delightful casual lunch and delicious theme dinners. And Sundays are a treat with their Bajan buffet lunches. You can order from local dishes or International cuisine and there is plenty of entertainment for the kids like clowns and magicians. Brown Sugar Restaurant -- There are some things that are uniquely Barbadian... and Brown Sugar restaurant seem to have characterize them all. From the charming traditional Barbadian house which has been lovingly restored to house the restaurant... To the Planters Buffet which feature many Barbadian culinary delights such as flying fish and cou cou, fish cakes, bul jol and black pudding and souse. All served in an inviting hospitable atmosphere... where lush fern filled patios and cascading waterfalls together with the chirping Barbadian Whistling frog provide you with the perfect ambience for an entertaining evening of casual yet elegant dinning. This classy restaurant chain offers excellent service, convenience and delectable meals from some of the most ideal spots on the island. These include the Grantley Adams International Airport and my favourite location the beach at Sunset Crest on the island’s famous platinum coast. Chefette was established 35 years ago, they now have 14 locations across the island, no doubt this is testament to their fantastic service and delectable meals like their broasted chicken, pizzas, rotis, burgers, ice cream and if in season my favourite the flying fish sandwich.
