Bubba's Sports Bar... Our Family favourite Barbados restaurant
Since that first Saturday afternoon lime we took at what was the newest Barbados restaurant on the southcoast at that time. Bubba's has become our family’s favourite place to eat.
Bubba’s is conveniently located amidst the hustle and bustle of Barbados South coast.
Bubba’s is the sports fanatic dream come true. You can enjoy all type of sports action from their two satellite dishes...
So whether your sport is English Premiere League Soccer, NFL Football, NBA Basketball, Formula One racing, Heavy weight Boxing or Golf. You can catch them all at Bubba's.
This Barbados restaurant has combined two of the most loved aspects of Barbadian life... delicious cuisine and the passion for international sports.
But it’s not just mouth-watering food and international sports that makes Bubba’s such a fantastic restaurant... From the moment you enter the restaurant you will realize that you’re in the game.
The atmosphere is fantastic from the effervescent hostess who welcomes and shows you to your table... to the friendly and knowledge waitress who will serve you...
We first ate at Bubba’s way back in
1996 that was before we had any kids...
Now the kids are the first to suggest Bubba’s as the place for lunch or dinner...
Three 10-foot video screens and twelve 42 inch plasma television screens no wonder they love it. Or so I thought...
Until I ask them what they like about this restaurant… this is what they had to say. Great food! I had to admit the food really is great from the warm ups to the last call...
Wondering why the menu sounds like the game? Remember it’s a sports bar and restaurant... The Warm Ups are the starters and the Last Call is the desert.
In between you will find the main events, prime time, Hall of Fame and the catch of the day... these are the main courses. May sound like sports but everything on the menu is delicious...
Lobster Tail Grilled with Garlic Butter, Oyster and Mushroom Sauce, Flying Fish sautéed with mushrooms and onions in a white wine sauce...
Oh! The kids remind me they prefer the Chicken Club… a traditional triple-decker piled high with chicken on top of their choice of toasted bread serve with fries... hmmm very delicious!
And of course dinner with the kids
wouldn’t be complete without desert...
But I guess too many choices on the menu, Flindt's Cherry Cheese Cake or Flindt's Apple Tart served with ice cream.
Flindt's Chocolate Mousse Gateau, Banana Split, Ice-cream Sundae and “Home-made” Chocolate Cake...
It really was funny watching them going through their “enie-meanie-monnie-moe” trying to come up with their desert choices... Finally they decided on the Flindts Cherry Cheese Cake serve with ice cream.
What a delightful Saturday evening... family, live sports, great food and great atmosphere it couldn’t get any better.
So if you are on the island and looking for a fun Barbados restaurant we sure recommend Bubba’s Sports Bar and Restaurant. We really love it!
