Barbados Island Safari

When you hear of a safari you no doubt think of vast open landscapes and dangerous wild animals... not so with the Barbados safari adventures.

The safari adventure in Barbados is about the playful side of this paradise island.

As repeat visitors we consider Barbados to be our island paradise and I guess most folks would agree...

Near perfect weather, pink sand beaches, crystal caves, Cliffside dining just to name few of the finer things the island has to offer.

We had seen most of the sites, enjoyed both the daytime and nightlife activities and study the cultural history of our beloved sun drench paradise...

But although we had always planned on going on the very popular safari adventure tours we had never done it.

Well until the winter of 2007 when we decided to book this exhilarating out door adventure with the Island Safari team… let me warn you this off road safari adventure is a real blast.

As I said we had seen a lot of the island over the years, while we were vacationing on the island but this was different.

Sitting on the back of the open-air 4 x 4 vehicle it was clear to us that this experience was more than the traditional island tour.

This Safari adventure truly is a lesson on the island’s history, its folklore and ecology... but not in the boring classroom way.

This is all fun! And it is the perfect opportunity for taking those magical photos... that the lust tropical interior of the island presents.

Barbados off the beaten track really is amazing... we travel through gullies and along narrow twisted roads.

All this time we were getting a lesson about the local plants, the local birds and animals, while at the same time getting some spectacular coastal views and seeing some of the islands best kept secrets.
