While vacationing in Barbados some friends invited us to go on an Atlantis Submarine expedition we were a bit skeptical about going that deep down in the water even if it was a real submarine.

They promised that we would experience a great adventure like no other on the island...

They even told us you haven’t seen all of Barbados natural beauty until you have done the submarine trip.

So we took up their offer and went on the submarine expedition, we were totally blown away by this magical underwater world.

It was breathtaking beneath the island’s crystal clear water we saw some of the most amazing marine life you can imagine.

But that’s not all the pilot took us down to more than 115 feet where we saw a sunken shipwreck. We were excited because we are not scuba divers and wrecks like this would have been lost to us.

We recommend this adventure to everyone especially persons who are not scuba divers. That deep in the water with so much color was a totally enjoyable experience.

A Really Great Trip Onboard The Submarine

On our first trip to the island in 2007 we also took this fascinating voyage onboard the Atlantis Submarine.

I must admit before taking the trip we were very aware of Barbados outstanding natural beauty especially the white sand beaches and clear turquoise water.

What we were unaware of was the spectacular beauty of the island’s coral gardens; they were amazing we saw coral reefs teeming with an incredible variety of marine life.

The colours were brilliant there were various shades of purple, green, orange and yellow along with some rare species of fish.

It was an unforgettable experience that totally enjoyed our only concern is for these under water treasures to be properly managed for future visitors.
